The Hollow Glen Residents’ Association is actively recruiting to fill some recently vacated positions within its Executive Committee. In particular, we are looking for enthusiastic new members to fill the roles of Vice-President (1 position) and Director (2 positions available).

In general, the Executive committee holds one meeting per month with all of EC members. The meeting lasts approximately an hour and half. There is also occasional work involved in helping out run events and leading priority projects. A yearly commitment would be approximately 25-30 hours depending on availability during events.

In addition to the EC positions, we are looking for residents who would be willing to help out on an ad-hoc basis in the following ways:

• leading a project to engage residents and work with the municipality on improvements to Hollow Glen Park;

• helping to plan and/or run events (time commitment of 1-3 hours) – examples of tasks could include:

  • helping to put signs up around the neighborhood and surrounding area

  • helping to decorate the community center

  • handling registration of participants and welcoming participants

  • helping vendors set up at markets

  • helping to serve drinks and/or food

Residents interested in volunteering some time would be put on a rotating call list.

Our community events depend entirely on our volunteers. We hope that you can find a few hours to commit, whether on an ad-hoc or on a more regular basis, to help keep our community thriving.
